Suzanne Lama, MA - Integral Transformative Therapy
Welcome

Suzanne Lama “Integral is emerging as the leading edge worldview — a grand synthesis that is comprehensive enough to embrace all of life in its many manifestations. In sum, an Integral Worldview includes the benefits and limitations of all worldviews, honors new ways of thinking, embraces increased sensitivity and brings spirituality back into the world.” Ken Wilber

A New Approach to Healing

Integral Transformative Therapy is a new approach in psychotherapy that significantly expands on widely used treatments. Eastern and Western psychology, philosophy, science and spirituality are integrated, creating a model of healing that is more comprehensive, inclusive and balanced than most other therapeutic models. The prime focus of integral transformative therapy is inner and outer transformation of the 'whole' person, within a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, relational/cultural and social context. It casts a wide net, but is not, however, an eclectic approach of method and technique proceeding by trial and error. Rather, it is a rich, unifying therapy that incorporates a framework grounded in integral principles.

Guided by the Integral

Integral means whole, complete, essential, comprehensive, inclusive and balanced. The word 'integral' stems from the same root as other words such as 'integrity' which deal with wholeness and completeness.

Integral transformative therapy does not utilize a singular theory or modality; rather, it recognizes a variety of perspectives. It is not confined to a single technique or method; rather, it integrates a diverse tool-kit to facilitate inner and outer healing, growth and transformation.

The methods, techniques and practices, the relationships developed with each client, and the spirit of the work are all inspired expressions of the integral principles of "inclusion, unfoldment and enactment." As a mindfulness based therapy, it requires the willingness and dedication to challenge your existing patterns of thought and behavior and maintain the integral practice agreements. It is very special work, guided by a deep respect for the integral, bringing attention to every aspect of your being - body, mind, soul and spirit.
